Where to stay as a Digital Nomad in Prague
Prague is divided into numbered districts and neighborhoods. Thanks to the excellent transportation system, you can stay in almost any neighborhood and still have easy access to all the city’s attractions. While most tourist spots are in Prague 1, you’ll be fine in any of the neighborhoods pictured on the mao. I stayed in Vinohrady and enjoyed it.

Getting Around Prague
Prague is a very walkable city, but the public transportation is also fantastic. There are trams, buses, and underground trains which will take you pretty much anywhere you need to go.
Transportation Tips:
- The underground runs from 5 am to midnight, and some trams/buses run 24/7.
- You can use Google Maps to figure out routes and timetables
- There is an app where you can easily buy tickets: PID Lítačka
- Cost:
- 30-minute ride = 30 CZK / $1.25
- 90-minute ride = 40 CZK / $1.75
- Monthly pass = 1000 CZK / $42

- Don’t take out too much cash. Credit cards are accepted nearly everywhere.
- However, don’t count on places accepting Euros.
- Bank with no fee ATMs: Raiffeisen Bank

- The most common way to greet someone is “Dobrey Den.”
- In most restaurants, you seat yourself and pay your bill at the table.
- Tipping culture generally involves rounding up the bill. For example, on a 230 CZK bill, you would pay 250 CZK.
- Keep change on you to use public restrooms, especially in tourist areas.
- Tap water is safe to drink.
